The 7th Annual Kalamazoo Bike Week was a success. The weather was generally good and attendance at the events was great.  Thank you to all event organizers, volunteers and attendees - we had great fun and are looking forward to our area’s 8th Annual Bike Week!

Planning for Bike Week 2019 (May 11-18, 2019) began in June 2018 -- and more than ever, will encompass events across Kalamazoo County.  If you want to make a bike-related announcement or organize an event during Bike Week, please contact Paul Selden at bikeweek@bikefriendlykalamazoo.org.

We may be able to accommodate additional events and announcements up until March 31, 2019, when our Website Event and Idea Submission Form is due. Don’t hesitate to contact Paul for more information.

A special "add on" Kalamazoo Bike Week meeting will be held WEDNESDAY January 30; 3:30-5:30pm at KRESA's main office (1819 E Milham Ave, Portage, MI 49002, Conference Room A). RSVP via the above email on/by Jan 23. The meeting is a "drop in any time" format.

At this point most of the planning and implementation of the great ideas we surfaced throughout our meetings held during the summer and fall of 2018 is in the hands of our wonderful individual event organizers. It can also be accessed via the links below.

Pedal & Stretch: Yoga for Cyclists at Down Dog Yoga Center

Join us Friday at Noon and 5:30 pm for Yoga for Cyclists! Stretch out your legs, hips, back and shoulders and unwind from the week with these two classes designed to rebalance and revitalize the cyclist's body, mind and spirit. No pre-registration is needed for these special $10 classes. Just show up on Friday at Noon or 5:30 pm and enjoy! Head into the weekend feeling refreshed. Note: The Noon Yoga for Cyclists is a non-heated class, and the 5:30pm Yoga for Cyclists is a lightly heated class (85 degrees).
