Ever wondered what mountain biking is like but too scared to give it a go? Don't have a bike to try it? No worries, we've got you covered. Now is the chance to ride the Al Sabo trail in a safe and instructional environment. SWMMBA and Pedal are teaming up to put together a Ladies Only Mountain Bike 101 instructional ride at the Al Sabo trailhead on Monday, May 11th. Pedal will have demo bikes available to rent (reservations are required ahead of time). Women will be taught the basics of trail riding and safety. There will be a 30 min pre-ride required training session at the Texas Township Park parking lot at 6:30pm. We will go over the rules of the trail, divide into small groups, and then ridea short distance to Al Sabo from the parking lot. Please note that this is a Ladies Only ride. All ages are welcome however, we ask that all individuals under the age of 17 are accompanied by an adult. Registration is required.
The event is free. Please register so they'll know you're coming. Follow this link https://www.facebook.com/BikeKzoo to the Bike Week Facebook page and click on "Plan to Attend" and say you're attending the event or call PEDAL at 567-3325.
